Job Description:
As a Grant Writer at GrantFlow, you will be at the forefront of our mission, crafting compelling grant proposals that not only secure funding but also articulate the vision, truths and impact of the organizations we serve. You will work closely with a diverse range of nonprofits, understanding their needs and translating them into powerful narratives that resonate with funders.
Key Responsibilities:
Grant Writing and Submission:
- Develop and write grant proposals, narratives, budgets, and presentations in alignment with funder guidelines and criteria.
- Ensure all grant submissions are complete, accurate, and timely, adhering to strict deadlines.
Research and Strategy:
- Conduct thorough research to identify potential funding opportunities that align with client missions and objectives.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their goals, target population, and intended outcomes for effective grant positioning.
Project Management:
- Manage multiple grant applications simultaneously, maintaining an organized and systematic approach to tracking progress and deadlines.
- Support team members and clients for information gathering, proposal development, and submission processes.
Client Communication and Meetings:
- Prepare detailed agendas for client meetings, focusing on discussion points, action items, and next steps.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates on grant statuses and new opportunities.
System and Data Management:
- Regularly update GrantFlow software and any other required systems to reflect real-time project statuses and ensure data accuracy.
- Participate in community workflow management, updating supervisors and managers on project progress.
Quality Control and Compliance:
- Review and revise grant proposals to ensure compliance with funder guidelines and client expectations.
- Stay updated with trends in grant writing and the nonprofit sector to continuously improve the quality of proposals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., English, Communications, Nonprofit Management) or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience in grant writing, preferably in a nonprofit or consultancy environment.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and research skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an emphasis on client service.
- Proficiency in grant management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
